71st Information Operations Group style # D6850 Description A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield divided per fess, the upper half Azure and the lower half per pale Gules and Argent, a sword point up Argent (Silver) with a leather grip Proper and a lightning bolt saltirewise Or, overall a longhorn steer skull affront, of the third with eyes and lower jaw cavities Sable, in chief a mullet of the third. Around the bottom of the shield is a Blue scroll inscribed with "DOMINATUS NON VIS" in Gold letters. Symbolism The Group is a branch immaterial multi-component unit with Operations, Intelligence, Psychological Operations and Signal tasks and provides for new and important forms of warfare. The shield symbolizes the unit's offensive capabilities. The lightning bolt denotes both the unit's electronic and signal warfare capabilities and the speed and ability for the unit to strike whenever and wherever needed.
