Description Our forged iron heel plates are ready for wear with boots, brogans, or other period shoes. These plates will reduce wear to the leather heels of most types of period shoes. Features counter-sunk holes to accommodate nail heads to prevent nail heads from premature wear. Price is for the pair, includes enough heel nails to install. Made in U.S.A. NOTE: We do not recommend heel plates for those who’s use is strictly indoors (Schools, Display, Living History inside of Historic Homes, etc). However, if you have heel plates and will be attending an indoor ball, school display, etc, you may cover the plates with “duct tape” to prevent marring the floor as well as saving yourself an unfortunate spill.
