Description ORIGINAL Model 1842 Musket stock. With side plate Cut at lower band. It has traces of the original cartouche. The lower band shoulder is at the correct location and would be an ideal location to stretch the stock under the lower band. two inches was removed from the butt plate toward the lock. The butt plate cut out and top screw are NOT at the original location. Original wood in any condition is difficult to find.
